MBC and I were glad to run into Willy the Texas Longhorn and his creator, Alan Elliot, at Texas Library Association in San Antonio. We’re shown here reading Willy’s book; Willy and Alan are reading “Bluebonnet at the Alamo!” Alan is also a Pelican author; we met last fall in Cedar Hill, Texas at a writer’s group. I especially like the fact that an armadillo is featured in Willy’s book!
